In a time where girls always wore dresses, and there was no such thing as T.V.s or computers, there were masquerades!
Mrs. Malone and everyone in her town are here to bring you the best of the masquerades.
Participate in one of Mrs. Malone's famous masquerades, host your own, or party in a masquerade during the holidays! Non a dancer? Go to the lake, town hall, or stable to hang out and meet new people!
1. Being an active member is a good idea. Your account may be deleted if:
Your account has not been activated within 48 hours of registration. You have not submitted a character application within 1 weeks of registration. No activity has been reported on your account for 3 days - (Does not apply to absentee notifications.)(Absentee notifications are extended to a two week basis.)
2. You must be 13 or over to join.
3. Please do not insult anyone in the forum. Fun and mild teasing are allowed, but if things get out of hand you'll end up in trouble. Play nice.
4. Please do not spam or flood the forum with useless posts, advertisements etc. If you do so, you will be banned, and further action may be taken.
5. If you are new to the board and wish to introduce yourself, please do so under the Introductions Board.
6. Read the Announcements before posting anywhere. The stickies/announcements are there to help you and tell you important things. Reading the Roleplay Rules and Guidelines is a must before Roleplaying.
Guidelines:
1. Behavior
If a thread of yours has been locked or deleted, it has been locked or deleted for a reason. Recreating it or complaining about it will probably get you in trouble. If you have a problem, contact a staff member via PM (preferably the one responsible for the issue). If you still have a complaint take it to the administrator.
Complaining about a banning in the forums will result in post deletion and suspension of your double account or IP address. If you have been banned and wish to object, take it up with the staff member who banned you, or an administrator.
Impersonating staff members and other regulars is forbidden. This means don't create another account and use a capital I instead of a lowercase l or attempt to impersonate us through messaging or email. If you attempt this you will be banned permanently and complaints will be made to your ISP / e-mail provider.

Roleplay Rules and Guidelinesl
This is a daily roleplay, which means that you are required to login to your account for roleplay at least once a week! we prefer at least once a day. This will prevent other members/characters from sitting around, waiting on those no-shows!
1. Members who wish to portray more than one character may do so, but not overburden yourself with too many characters.
However, each member is limited to only three main original characters of the show.
2. The Personal Text option in your profile is used to show you current location (and people you are with). It should be updated constantly so no member is forced to ask where you are. Please, do not ask where someone is in the CBOX, look in their profile.
This will help other characters to find you if need be, and who you may be with.
3. If you read others' threads, do not openly discuss them. Basically, read it, then forget it. Please, do not discuss what you read anywhere, or with anyone.
This is important because it may inadvertently spoil surprises, or intrude upon private moments.
No one should ever talk about other storylines in the CBOX, unless the person specifically asks for opinions.
Posting:
4. Each thread signifies the start of a new scene or conversation between various characters, or by yourself. They should be labeled and changed accordingly.
At the conclusion on the scene, the thread creator should modify the title to read: CLOSED. This lets the person doing archives know what scene is finished and what is not.
Unless a thread is marked Private, for whatever reason, then any character can join in.
5. Any hostility between characters is not allowed to extend to the members themselves. If this happens, action will be taken, including a ban from the site (or CBOX) for some time, or the deletion on your account!
6. Only 1 grade can be in the same classroom at one time (I.E. Emma can't be in Math with Paige)
7. Announcements: If your character wishes to announce any news such as a new baby, wedding, etc, or send an invitation to everyone at once, you can post it under The Grapevine, which should be read at least once a day for new information and updates!
8. History cannot be changed or altered in anyway.

This is a daily roleplay, so it is recommended that if you wish to play a more thorough or main character, that you are able to access the site for either long hours or more than once a day, meaning full-time... While I don't expect everyone to be on that much, being on as much as possible will really help your chances of maintaining your character.
